1. Gutter Structure
Gutters come in many shapes and styles to suit different types of buildings. However, their basic structure typically consists of an inward trough with raised edges on both sides to form the mouth of the gutter.
The structure of a drainage gutter consists of three main parts:
-
Gutter Ear: Usually attached directly to the purlins. The gutter ear can be turned inward or outward, depending on the design, to prevent water from escaping outside.
-
Gutter Wall: This can either be a flat surface or bent into ridged shapes, depending on customer requirements.
-
Gutter Base: Holes can be cut into the base to install drain funnels.
2. Gutter Dimensions
The size of rainwater gutters varies based on the drainage system and user needs. Common widths include 250mm, 400mm, 480mm, 600mm, 1200mm, and 1500mm, with thicknesses ranging from 0.4mm to 2mm.
Gutter lengths typically measure 1m, 2m, 2.4m, or 4m. Currently, few companies can process large-sized gutters. Butraco offers custom production, crafting both small and large gutters, with sizes up to 6m². For recessed gutters, the standard size is 2m long and 0.2m wide.
